The Omni Group announced Thursday the release of OmniOutliner for iPad, a new version of the note-taking and outlining software. It costs $19.99.

[ad#Google Adsense 300×250 in story]OmniOutliner for iPad incorporates features like rich text styling similar to that which is used in OmniOutliner 3, simple outline restructuring, multiple column formats, and inline image support.

Users can share documents using MobileMe accounts or through other WebDAV-compatible servers. You can also transfer files using iTunes, in HTML, plain text or OPML formats.

OmniOutliner for iPad is compatible with OmniOutliner 3 for the Mac, and OPML support enables it to work with other outlining software that supports this common format.
