Karelia Software on Tuesday released a major update to its consumer-level Web site building tool, Sandvox.
[ad#Google Adsense 300×250 in story]According to Dan Wood, president of Karelia Software, the new version comes with more than five-dozen new features and improvements. Wood said the new features are focused on giving users more flexibility to build a modern Web site.
Among the changes, Sandvox 2.0 features a completely new architecture and new editing engine. This allows users to mix and match elements on a single page, helping to build a more interactive Web experience for the user.
In addition to a new chooser, Sandvox also supports HTML5 and jQuery, as well as comment support for Disqus, IntenseDebate and Facebook Comments.
While you don’t need to know any HTML to use SandVox, you can still dig into the code with the new Raw HTML object. It will allow direct placement, including live resizing, of any HTML, JavaScript or PHP.
Sandvox costs $77 for new users. Upgrades from 1.x cost $47.
