AT&T on Friday slashed the price of the original iPad 3G by $100 throughout its U.S. retail stores.
[ad#Google Adsense 300×250 in story]The iPad 3G now costs $429, $529 and $629 for the 16GB, 32GB and 64GB models, respectively. Yesterday, the iPad 3G cost $100 more and last month it cost $200 more for the iPad 3G models.
Apple launched the iPad 2 during a special event in San Francisco on March 2. The iPad 2 went on sale on March 11 to what Apple told The Loop was “amazing” demand.
While Apple hasn’t said how many iPad 2s were sold, analysts believe they sold out on the first day.
