It’s not been a good day in Round Rock, Texas for two Dell employees who were arrested after a marketing stunt went terribly wrong.
[ad#Google Adsense 300×250 in story]A Dell sales manager planned the stunt to celebrate the release of the Dell Streak. According to local news station, KXAN, a person dressed as a biker and wearing a mask went on the sales floor and demanded employees “go to the lobby” of the building.
The masked man was apparently carrying “two metallic objects.” Frightened employees called 911 to report the incident.
That’s when the Round Rock SWAT team showed up. The two employees, who still didn’t let anyone in on the marketing stunt, refused to comply with police when they showed up.
The eventually figured out they were Dell employees. Both men were arrested. It’s not clear, but it doesn’t appear any Dell Streaks were hurt during the stunt.
