Feral Interactive announced Tuesday plans to release LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4 for the Mac later this week. The game will ship on Thursday, January 6 and will cost $39.95.
[ad#Google Adsense 300×250 in story]LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1-4 is based on the first four books and movies in the hugely popular Harry Potter series penned by J.K. Rowling. Players join Harry and his classmates and friends at Hogwarts as they go on the many adventures and challenges depicted in the books and films.
Features include both single-player and two-player cooperative play modes. In coop mode, the second player can drop in and out at any time to help the first player solve challenges and puzzles. Players explore many of the iconic settings from the first four books, like Hogwarts, Diagon Alley and the Forbidden Forest, attending lessons, casting spells, mixing potions and more. They can also assume the role of more than 170 characters depicted in the stories.
This is the latest game to get the LEGO treatment. Feral has brought many other LEGO games to the Mac, including (most recently) LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga.
System requirements call for a 1.8GHz Intel Mac with 1GB RAM, 3D graphics card with 128MB RAM or more, DVD drive and Mac OS X 10.6.4 or later. Feral advises that the Nvidia 7xxx series and Intel GMA series video processors are not supported.
