Marco Arment updated his popular Instapaper app for the iPhone and iPad, bringing the current version of the app to version 2.3.
[ad#Google Adsense 300×250 in story]Instapaper 2.3, which allows you to save online articles for viewing later, is a major update, according to Arment. Among the changes is that the first few lines of text are now shown in both the iPad and iPhone versions.
The list also includes a visual reference, showing you how long the saved article is. If you’ve read part of the article, dots give your a representation of how far along you are.
You can now switch to dark mode without leaving the article on the iPhone and a slightly easier bookmarklet installation are features that have also been added.
There are so many other things added and fixed in this update — Arment has a page dedicated to the release that you can see all of the changes.
You can download Instapaper for the iPhone ($4.99) or Instapaper for iPad ($4.99) from the App Store.
