Many Tricks released a new Mac app called Usher that will be of interest to users that want a tool to help them manage videos on their hard drives.
[ad#Google Adsense 300×250 in story]The company says that Usher can help you manage videos and movies as well as iTunes and iPhoto manages your music and pictures. That’s a pretty tough task, but Usher looks to have the bases covered.
Usher can move your videos into its library or you can leave them in iTunes or iPhoto and Usher will help you manage your collection. Usher can also download movies from YouTube or Vimeo, convert them for the Phone, iPod, and Apple TV and then copy then to iTunes for you.
Being a management tool, Usher allows you to add metadata to the movies so you can find them easily using searches later on. The app also has a Smart Playlist feature, so you can find videos based on criteria you enter.
Usher costs $35 and is based on Many Tricks’ yFlicks application. yFlicks purchasers back to March 1, 2009 can upgrade for free; earlier owners can upgrade for $15.
