∞ Nuance releases Dragon Dictate for Mac 2.0

Nuance on Monday released Dragon Dictate for Mac 2.0. This is the first release for the company after its acquisition of MacSpeech earlier this year. Dictate for Mac leverages the new Dragon 11 engine, which also powers NaturallySpeaking 11 for the PC. The new software improves accuracy and performance over its predecessor, according to Nuance.

Dictate offers users a streamlined setup, a revamped Mac user interface, and new voice commands for dictation, editing, navigation and proofreading. Dictate also “learns” better than any previous version and it responds faster to spoken commands and supports Dragon Voice Shortcuts for searching the web, email and Mac desktop by voice.

Dragon Dictate for Mac 2.0 is available immediately and costs $199.99. Existing MacSpeech Dictate customers and Dragon NaturallySpeaking customers can purchase Dragon Dictate for Mac starting at $49.99 and $99.99 respectively for a limited time.
