Apple typically holds an event in September to roll out the final products before the holiday shopping season. One analyst is giving his predictions on what we’ll see from Apple this year. Piper Jaffray Senior Research Analyst, Gene Munster, said he expects updates to iTunes, the Apple TV and the iPod touch. The iPod touch is expected to feature a back-facing camera for still images and videos and a front-facing camera for FaceTime video calls.
Munster said he has no specific knowledge of a new Apple TV, but did say the rumored strategy of having apps on the device “would fall into company strategy and product cycles nicely.”
Apple’s cloud-based iTunes service announcement is also likely at the September event, although Munster doesn’t believe the service will launch until later in the year.
Apple has not officially announced an event in September yet, but it usually takes place in the first two weeks of the month.
