Mac developers didn’t get much from Apple’s Worldwide Developers Conference in 2010, but there is another place they can go now — the MacTech Conference. Designed for IT and developer professionals, the MacTech Conference is being held this November 3-5 in Los Angeles, Calif. Conference organizers say their main goal is to “to raise the level of knowledge for the entire Apple/Mac community.”
The conference will feature sessions in two tracks: IT and programming/development. The sessions have a little something for everything from desktop and mobile, with information for Mac, iPhone, iPad and iPod.
The keynote speaker for the event is Andy Ihnatko and IT track speakers that include Roy Nielsen (Los Alamos National Labs), James Reynolds (University of Utah) and Justin Esgar (Virtua Computers).
Developer speakers for the MacTech Conference include Mark Dalrymple (Borkware), Daniel Jalkut (Red Sweater Software), Jim Rea (ProVUE Development) and Wil Shipley (Delicious Monster), among others.
The conference costs $899 and includes your food, a MacTech Magazine subscription, a schedule full of sessions, and exclusive entertainment, among other items. You can register at the MacTech Conference website.
