New York City, one of the toughest areas in the U.S. to get decent 3G and voice service on AT&T, has been upgraded. Company officials on Monday said that the upgrade of the NYC area is complete. AT&T has upgraded its 3G and voice service in Manhattan, Bronx, Brooklyn and Queens, according to AP.
The popularity of the iPhone has widely been thought to be a catalyst for AT&T’s network problems. As more iPhone users come on the network, the worse it gets. Upgrades have been needed for some time and will be welcome in NYC.
Other areas, including San Francisco, have also been identified as problem areas and are being upgraded.
