If you hadn’t yet made up your mind to attend Apple’s Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC) next month, your mind has been made up for you. Apple revealed on Thursday that the event is sold out – no more tickets are available.
The annual gathering happens from June 7 – 11, 2010 at the Moscone West conference center in San Francisco, its home for the last several years.
Macintosh and iPhone developers from around the world descend on the venue to meet with Apple engineers and others over the course of five days, to attend seminars, workshops, training, and to participate in hands on labs to shake down their code and get it ready for release or to help improve it. There are also social events planned during the week and the annual Apple Design Awards.
Apple was criticized this year for not announcing WWDC 2010’s date until April 28th, barely more than a week ago, but that hasn’t seemed to affect attendance at all. Neither has Apple’s decision to exclude Mac applications from consideration for this year’s Apple Design Awards. In the past, iPhone apps have been considered in their own categories, but this year, iPhone OS apps are all that are being considered, according to Apple.
