TouchGrove is best known to iPhone and iPod touch users for its LED Football and LED Basketball games, simple games based on those classic 9 volt battery-powered handheld games from the 1970s. The company is breaking out of that mold with Air Harp, a new app designed for the iPad.
The software recreates a lap harp on the iPad, complete with two octaves (15 strings) of harp tones in G Major. You can either play by ear or play along using interactive sheet music.
An iPhone version is included (it contains a single octave of strings).
After Air Harp launches, TouchGrove plans to release additional sheet music packets, along with blank music sheets to record and save your own compositions, and the ability to change keys.
Air Harp should be released on the App Store on April 3, 2010, the same day as the iPad debuts.
