Freeverse has unveiled plans to release its first massively multiplayer online (MMO) game, called CastleCraft. It’ll work on the iPhone and iPod touch. It’ll be free to download.

An empire-building game, CastleCraft tasks you to form alliances and train up to 16 different types of units – military, resource and technology. You’ll be able to chat in real time with other players, connecting through either Wi-Fi or 3G networks.

The game supports Ngmoco’s Plus+ Network, which provides social play over the iPhone and iPod touch.
