∞ EA releases Auditorium game for iPhone

Electronic Arts (EA) on Friday released Auditorium for the iPhone and iPod touch. It costs $2.99, though a free “Lite” version is also available.

Auditorium was originally developed by Dain Saint and William Stallwood to run as a Web game – it leveraged Adobe Flash technology. It’s a puzzle game of sorts, in which players must manipulate “The Flow” – an endless stream of particles – to cross the path of “Audio Containers.” Doing so activates a soundtrack. Using various objects within the game, players can attract, repel, speed up or deflect the Flow and move it in various directions. Sometimes moving The Flow to several points is necessary in order to fill the Audio Containers.

The iPhone game includes five “Acts,” each containing seven levels. New “Movements” are also available as In-App Purchases, which introduce new Acts, new concepts and new themes.

The Lite version features one Act containing several levels.

Auditorium requires an iPhone or iPod touch operating iPhone OS 3.0 or later.
