∞ Apple emphasizes size, quantity in new Upper West Side store

New York City residents in the vicinity of the Upper West Side get their own Apple Store on Saturday, Nov. 14th when Apple’s newest retail location opens at 1981 Broadway (at 67th Street). There are a few surprises in store that set this store apart from other New York locations, according to Apple.

Apple is emphasizing quantity and size of the new Upper West Side location. The street level of the store features more Macs, iPods and iPhones than any store in the world, according to Apple, and the lower level sports the largest area Apple has ever created for personal training and tech support, including a 45-foot Genius Bar.

The new spot is Apple’s fourth store in Manhattan, joining the SoHo, West 14th Street and Fifth Avenue locations. Apple has 14 other locations in the New York metro area.

The new store opens with more than 200 employees, and is minutes from Lincoln Center and Central Park. The first 2,500 customers to enter the store on Saturday will receive a limited edition commemorative t-shirt to mark the occasion.
